Mythraxxis - the All-Seeing Tyrant Eye

The Tyrant Eyes, immense floating horrors with spiked, chitinous hides and writhing tendrils tipped with glaring, sensory eyes; were once enforcers of Tialevor’s doctrine of absolute subjugation. Over the millennia, their numbers have dwindled, their presence fading into legend, hidden within forgotten ruins, deep chasms, and lost temples. But Mythraxxis, one of the last and most powerful of his kind, still reigns; entombed within his Hive, deep in the chasm of a forgotten island south of Anphitria. Trapped, yet never powerless.

At the heart of his domain, the Temple of Mythos—once a place of enlightenment—has become his prison. Its halls, once filled with scholars and seekers of truth, now serve as a labyrinth of madness and manipulation, woven into the Hive itself. Ages ago, Mythraxxis was a high sage of Mythos, a beacon of knowledge. But like the other first nine Eye Tyrants, he was corrupted by Tialevor after Mythos’ downfall, twisted into an aberrant fiend—a monstrous embodiment of tyranny and forbidden wisdom.

The Eye Tyrants were never meant to rule openly—they do not conquer through war, but through thought, deception, and domination. From the shadows, they shape societies, turning rulers into puppets and knowledge into shackles. Yet, their kind is dying, for an Eye Stalker must survive centuries to ascend into Tyrant-hood—a fate nearly impossible, for betrayal and ambition are their very nature. No Tyrant Eye would suffer a successor to rise in their place.

But Mythraxxis does not merely see. He controls. He molds minds as a sculptor molds clay, shaping thoughts before they are even spoken. The temple’s deepest sanctum is his throne, the altar of Mythos repurposed into his seat of power. And the scroll—the artifact Pargus was sent to uncover—is it truly a remnant of lost wisdom, or a carefully placed bait?

If the prophecy is real, will Pargus unlock the truth of Mythos—or unseal the machinations of something far worse? Was the scroll’s discovery beneath Anphitria’s ruins a coincidence—or was Mythraxxis always waiting, his mind already at work, twisting fate itself?
