The Devourer Columns are eldritch aberattions, remnants of the Hive’s corruption. At first, they appear as worn, cracked columns or fallen boulders, blending seamlessly with the ruined architecture of the temple. Motionless. Silent. Watching.

But when prey draws near, they awaken. Their stone-like shells peel apart, revealing swirling, void-black tendrils that lash out like whips. A gaping maw, lined with sharp fangs, splits open where the carvings once were, ready to consume flesh, thought, and soul alike.

These predatory mimics are not mere beasts—they are living traps, positioned throughout the temple like statues, lying in wait for centuries. Whether they are extensions of Mythraxxis’ will or ancient creations of the temple’s downfall is unknown. What is certain is that those who wander too close never walk away.
